Reconstruction and fitting of second-harmonic signals by wavelength modulation spectroscopy method based on fast Fourier transform

چکیده
Conventional wavelength modulation spectroscopy (WMS) is vulnerable to the influence of low-frequency noise. Accuracy method highly depends on performance costly lock-in amplifier. In this article, we report a new and effective for reconstructing second-harmonic signals through WMS based fast Fourier transform (FFT). This less disturbed by noise because it does not use ramp wave. Formulation detection procedures were presented. The discrete waveform can be obtained continuously changing DC signal FFT analysis in method. Second-harmonic waveforms acquired two means are generally consistent. experimental study validates gas concentration from 5% 30%, showing good linear relationship proposed maximum relative error extraction 2.87%; as conventional WMS, value 4.50%. developed measurement may have potential computed tomography.

I. INTRODUCTION THE accurate analysis, design and optimization of guided-wave structures are essential for the development of integrated photonic devices. Of all the methods used to simulate guided-wave propagation in these devices, the beam propagation method (BPM) has been one of the most popular approaches used in the modeling and simulation of electromagnetic wave
متن کاملUsing integrating spheres with wavelength modulation spectroscopy: effect of pathlength distribution on 2nd harmonic signals
We have studied the effect on 2 nd harmonic wavelength modulation spectroscopy of the use of integrating spheres as multipass gas cells. The gas lineshape becomes distorted at high concentrations, as a consequence of the exponential pathlength distribution of the sphere, introducing nonlinearity beyond that expected from the Beer-Lambert law. We have modelled this numerically for methane absorp...
